The Voronezh UFO incident was a reported sighting of an unidentified flying object and alleged extraterrestrial beings in the Soviet Union. It occurred on September 27, 1989, in a park in the city of Voronezh, located about 300 miles southeast of Moscow. According to witness accounts, a group of children playing football in the park first noticed a pink glow in the sky, followed by a deep red spherical object (described as a ball or banana-shaped craft, about 3 meters in diameter) that circled overhead, vanished briefly, and then reappeared. The UFO allegedly landed, and from it emerged one or more tall beings—estimated at around 3 meters (10 feet) in height—with three eyes, small heads, silvery overalls, bronze-colored boots, and a disk on their chests. These entities were accompanied by a robot-like figure. Witnesses claimed the aliens "strolled" in the park and used a ray gun or tube to temporarily make a 16-year-old boy disappear until the craft departed. The beings reportedly communicated with the children before leaving, and the event was said to have been observed multiple times between September 21 and October 3, 1989.
